IGGYWOO was founded by self-taught perfumer, and creative director Richard Saint-Ford, a visionary who defies convention with his boundary-pushing approach to scent creation. Unlike conventionally trained perfumers, he learned through hands-on experimentation, guided by his self taught perfumer grandmother, and by his own instinct rather than textbooks—an approach that defines the aromatic language of IGGYWOO.
Earning the nickname of ‘The Heretic Perfumer, ’ he rejects the rigid structures of traditional perfumery and embraces his own rule-breaking methodology, driven by intuition, emotion, and a relentless pursuit of the unexpected, resulting in fragrances that challenge norms and redefine the sensory experience.

Having lived between England, the Caribbean, Spain, and California, he draws on native ingredients from these landscapes to craft scent stories that transcend borders. His creations don’t just sit on the skin—they take the wearer somewhere, evoking emotions and experiences that feel uniquely personal yet universally resonant.
